Welcome to Hewitt Hill Woodworks! Though my life’s work is in music, I have always held an affinity for and fascination with woodworking of all kinds. From carving sticks into spears and chopping firewood as a boy to constructing boxes and small furniture as an adult, wood has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. Feel free to peruse the store below; all items are handmade by me in my current home in Hancock, Michigan, using a combination of traditional hand tools and modern techniques. Due to the demands of my work as a composer and poet, these pieces are created in small batches and released when they are finished - each item pictured is the exact item you will receive!

Please send any and all questions or requests for custom work to HewittHillWoodworks@gmail.com.

The top slides out to reveal the compartment, and the bottom is “captured” instead of glued to help with seasonal wood movement. The short ends of the interior are lined with soft, black material to guard against blunting, and the box is raised on four small rubber feet. Finished with Danish Oil.
